SATIM has detected unusual changes in the TU-95 and TU-160 bomber’s SAR signatures using Umbra SAR imagery obtained from the Engels-2 military base in Russia. The characteristics of the signal reflections captured do not match the known geometry and material composition of the aircraft. This may indicate a new camouflage method adopted to protect these valuable aircraft from drone attacks.

On June 16, 2023, SATIM, using Umbra satellite SAR imagery, automatically detected 14 ships from China's Qiong Sansha Yu fleet in disputed waters near Thitu (Pag-asa) Island, a significant island in the Spratly Islands archipelago held by the Philippines.

On the 22nd of May 2023 - Sparta IV the Russian cargo ship, suspected of arms shipments, was automatically detected, classified, and identified by SATIM's AI model on Sentinel-1 and Umbra SAR images in the Dardanelles Strait.
